Hodgson-Harris Reservoir is a beautiful 12-acre body of water near the town of Superior, Colorado. The town of Superior is full of fun and exciting things to keep the entire family entertained. If you want a change of scenery, the town of Boulder is only 15 minutes down the road and is one of the main towns in Colorado.

Lake Life

Hodgson-Harris Reservoir is a small lake, but it is great for fishing, kayaking, swimming, and just floating. There are no lake specific regulations for the reservoir and no nonwake zones due to the fact that boating is not supported on this lake.

Fishing on Hodgson-Harris lake is quite sparse, but when the fish are biting, the most common types caught are largemouth bass and yellow perch.

What To Do

The area surrounding Hodgson-Harris Reservoir is full of entertainment for everyone. The fun starts just 20 minutes down the road from the reservoir at Downtown Aquarium. The massive aquarium is full of over 500 species of swimming friends that you do not typically see on the lake every day. The unique part of this aquarium is the restaurant, fully surrounded by underwater creatures in giant tanks. Nothing sounds more fun than amazing food without leaving the entertaining sights of the aquarium.

The area is not missing out on amazing food, either. There are over 20 restaurants within a 10 minutes drive from Hodgson-Harris Reservoir. One of the more notable eateries around is PJ’s Diner, only five minutes down the road. The diner brings back the feeling of sitting in an old-school diner mixed with delicious food like your mom used to cook. Only open for breakfast and lunch, the diner fills up quickly with locals looking to get a cup of coffee or homemade pancakes.

For a night out, the town of Superior also offers a variety of bars and clubs to enjoy. Murphy’s Tap House is a popular one amongst residents living on the reservoir. Only eight minutes down the road, the pub is known for its welcoming atmosphere and amazing drink choices. Whether you're a beer drinker or more of a fruity drink type of person, Murphy’s is guaranteed to keep you dancing all night long.
